We are now retired and can now follow our passion of motorhoming and travelling as much as we wish!
In the past we have spent many fun weekends in the UK, had a few holidays in France and Spain and in 2019 we travelled for six months in Europe after taking delivery of our second motorhome, a Carthago liner-for-two, which we purchased in April 2019.
On this site and through other social media platforms we are sharing experiences of our preparation, pick up of our motorhome and our travelling adventures .... we hope you will follow our journey and share your comments.

Our story so far ......
We’ve loved motorhoming since early 2014 when we bought our first motorhome an Autotrail Tracker FB. Considering we’d hardly ever been on a campsite and never spent a night in a motorhome before we bought it we took a bit of risk, but it paid off ..... during the four years we had our Autotrail motorhome we maximised our use of it taking around 60 short trips in UK and longer holidays in France and Spain (see Travel page).
We enjoyed it so much - we realised we wanted a bigger adventure and started planning for six months' full time travel.
Although we loved our Autotrail Tracker, for the purposes of longer term travel we wanted something slightly bigger, with easier shower
access and a larger bed and really liked the idea of a rear lounge so we started researching and looked at a number of different models.
Then we were at the NEC show in February 2018 when we saw the video of the new Carthago liner-for-two on their stand, there was no physical model to look at as it hadn’t been fully launched but we were very excited as we immediately knew it ticked all our boxes.
We spoke to one of the Carthago dealers, CamperUK - Neil Holt and Joe Chamberlain were very helpful .... and before we knew it our order was in!!
At this stage we still hadn’t seen the liner-for-two apart from in the video. We couldn’t wait for it to come to England so we flew to Hamburg Germany to see a prototype. We thought England had the monopoly on cold wet weather, it was freezing and poured with rain the whole weekend we were there but we didn’t care, we were just so excited to see the prototype.
We then sold our lovely Autotrail Tracker, it went to a good home and we live in hope of seeing it again one day on a campsite.
In April 2019 we took delivery of our Carthago liner-for-two and set off for six months' travel in the UK and Europe and immediately knew we had made the right choice of motorhome for us. We also bought ourselves some e-bikes which have proved to be a perfect combination with our motorhome. Hills and headwinds are no longer an issue and we are finding that as a result, we now use our e-bikes more than we used to use our other bikes.
We spent hours watching vlogs of other motorhomers, including those currently full-timing before we set off on our travels, appreciating the advice and ideas they gave us. Hopefully this website and our social media will provide the same for others.
